Witness Stand (Perth Festival, 2021)

Alice was one of the featured artists for Witness Stand by Madelyn Flynn, Tim Humphrey, Kylie Bracknell, and Barry McGuire (commissioned by the Perth Festival).  In this project, artists were asked to create site-specific sound works paying homage to the ancient stories of Whadjuk country and acknowledging the interruptions to this place caused by colonisation.

Beginning at Nyiibarap where the Waygul rested, traveling out along the Derbal Yerrigan to Wadjemup, Alice's contribution to the project combines field recordings with acoustic instruments and responds to the stories and knowledge shared at, and between the two sites.
